Since the 2013 Christmas Special,the numbering has become very confusing for most fans as Matt Smith was actually the thirteenth incarnation,not the eleventh due to the fact The War Doctor was a secret regeneration between the eighth and ninth despite not being called 'The Doctor' and The 10th Doctor regenerated twice making the total of 13 incarnations.Since Peter Capaldi is noticed as the 12th Doctor,he is technically the 14th incarnation and for anyone who wants to gets into Doctor Who now,just remember to do a bit of research before getting into it.As Time Lords have a total of 13 lives alongside 12 regenerations so just make sure that you know that the 12th Doctor isn't the 12th.I would like to see the numbering make sense,but it probably will not.
